PRESSURE POINT CONTROL TACTICS
This annual course meets the requirements of many security and peace officer contracts, ensuring continued compliance and skill proficiency. Participants will complete both a written and practical exam, earning a certificate valid for one year issued by PPCT. Designed for actively employed security professionals, peace officers and those pursuing employment in these roles.

COURSE OVERVIEW:
Module 3: Human Factors
The theory behind ‘why’ and ‘how’ the techniques work.
Module 4: Use of Force / Canadian Law Review
Essentially ‘when’ to use the techniques and when you shouldn’t.
Module 5: Tactical Handcuffing
Tactical handcuffing from standing, kneeling and prone positions.
Module 6: Escort Position/Joint Lock Control
A method of moving uncooperative subjects from point A to point B. Including the transport wrist lock and straight arm bar takedown.
Module 7: Pressure Point Control Tactics
A way of controlling aggressive/combative subjects by applying touch pressure to specific pressure points located about the head and neck.
Module 8: Defensive Counter Strikes
System of blocks, punches and kicks and brachial stuns.
Module 9: Shoulder Pin Restraint
Vascular neck restraint.
Module 10: Baton (Impact Weapon)
Targeting specific nerve motor points located about the body using the fluid shock wave principal to achieve maximum potential.
COURSE Requirements:
Must be at least 18 years of age. Being physically fit is strongly recommended, with no current injuries.
